Most of us have by now, heard the term "Law of Attraction". Many among us will have read Australian Author\Entrepreneur Rhonda Byrne's compiled research entitled "The Secret" in book form (or have viewed the movie of the same name). It seems the majority of us are finally ready to adopt a more spiritual stance in the way we view our World (that should perhaps read "Universe" or better still the more exotic term, "Cosmos"). So in our new-found fervour, we jostle one another at the bookstores to be first in line to wrap our eager fingers about the earth-brown dustjacket of the revered tome, and curse the video store guy when he tells us "The Secret" is not available on the shelf, due to a sudden onslaught of excessive and inexplicable demand!
And yet, Metaphysics and Philosophy have always been with us, ever since we first developed reason and learned to calculate the trajectory of spear into Bison with an impressive amount of predictable success. But due to today's titanic industries surrounding mass information delivery, new advertising methods, publicity generating techniques and developments in marketing psychologies, along with the virtually miraculous advent of the internet and all its invisible promises of power unleashed on our behalf, we now have an old story retold anew. And that was a very long sentence!)
Yet we receive it (via "IT", being Information Technology) as though it was a new revelation from the Ether. These are the same old principles, laws and rules for living that our forefathers knew (and for the most part, ignored with considerable skill and alacrity). The only difference being today, this persistent message from "Beyond", has simultaneously reached a wider, more susceptible audience of eager followers who have been conditioned over decades, to want whatever it is they are told they need.
Is this simply a case of "The Emperor's New Clothes"? Are we being duped with all this New Age vernacular and mislead by Quantum-calculated rhetoric? Personally, I don't think so, not for one moment.
The principles expounded in commercial publications like Byrne's "The Secret", John Assaraf and Jack Canfield's Law of Attraction publications to name just a few in the plethora of new-age authors on the topic and even preceeding both of these, Deepak Chopra's very readable quantum theories and James Redfield's "The Celestine Prophecy" series (which, for all you dedicated movie-goers out there, has also been wrapped in celluloid and made into Big screen fare)... all contain glistening versions of Universal Truths and Absolutes that have existed from Time's first foray on this young planet we call "Home".
Here then is my version of many of those principles that are now popularly considered as "required reading" for so many upwardly immobilised executives and upcoming sedentary, self-improvement addicts.
I wrote my version of the Truth in 1995 and still stand by it today. SRE © (April 13th, 2008)
QUANTUM SECRETS
There is a secret life behind things. A sacred right to the space occupied by every morsel of matter in both substance and in spirit.
All objects harbour within themselves a world of energy, movement and intention. Where every molecule dances those steps ordained at the Creation of Time, choreographed by that Will that made us all.
Each atom is also endowed with the gift of original entity and individuality. All at once unique unto itself while forming part of the many. A life-force that was determined at the origin of all things.
Every particle of substance and every space in between, delights in the balance that rocks the rhythmic Cradle of Creation. Tilting and tipping between the fickle sweep of the predictable and unpredictable hands of chance and design. Being both pre-ordained and yet spontaneous in a given instant; Being acted upon while itself exerting influence upon all things and upon nothing at all; Being the most minute portion of Infinity while casting its intelligent eye at the same moment, across the vast span of infinite Time and Place.
All that exists is Intelligent which knowledge derives from the well-spring of pure Love. All is Divine and everything that exists, everything that is, was designed to be so. The perpetual engine of Creation is fueled by no less than that driving power known to us all as unconditional Love.
All things, however insignificant they seem, are deemed essential to the Whole and no part is valued less than any other. All beings are likewise essential to the Plan, and must be respected and honoured, protected and nurtured toward survival.
This is the entire point of our existence and our sacred reason for Being ~
